Draw stroke on the move |
There are four main methods of moving a boat sideways: the
draw, sculling
draw, draw
on the move and the hanging
draw.
This stroke is ideal for just quickly pulling the boat sideways
almost instantly. For example when you need to miss a rock and
have only just seen it. Its execution is very quick and very simple.
All you need to do is:
1. Do a powerful draw stroke on one side.
2. Instead of knifing the blade back into position simply slice the blade out towards the rear of the boat.
3. Edge the boat away from the blade to prevent the side of the boat digging into the water.
