An interesting sea trip with strong tidal flows and overfalls in the sound. The island has many seals and sea birds and is a nature reserve. You are not allowed to camp on the island.

Rough plan is to Meet at the public slipway for 10:00am for an on the water start at 10:30am. Paddle out the island for lunch, circumnavigate it and return to the beach. It is a 2:30 - 3hr drive out to Aberdaron so please offer lifts via the yahoo group to save on costs and make the drive down more enjoyable.

The club has 3 plastic sea kayaks which may be loaned for club trips - contact an equipment officer, Dave Forster or Karen Devaney)

If these are booked then local shops may be able to loan or hire you one (North West Kayaks or Brookbank)
