It was almost a write off due to a spring tide and a tricky F4 northerly easterly wind. Till Andy suggested the Conwy Estuary, Kevin also up for a challenge in tow, we set off… Read More »Three paddle to Llanwrst

Carl, Kevin, Keith and myself met at 09.30 by Farndon bridge to shuttle cars to our start at Bangor on Dee for our relaxed paddle along the twisty River Dee back to Farndon. We launched our boats (2 sea kayaks, a Canadian and a GP boat) by The… Read More »The river Dee Bangor on Dee to Farndon by Caroline James

A local sea paddle. After keeping an eye on them rising fuel costs and forecast for a number of days, weeks, months. Friday seemed like a good day to explore the local coastline. With a Liverpool high water of 11:17 @ 9.22m, that gave a local high-water time between Southport and Formby of about 11am. The plan was to head south, keeping close to the land for some protection from… Read More »A local sea paddle.
