This Kayak is in overall excellent condition. I bought it from Kayaks Northwest a few years ago as a demonstrator. It had only been trialled on the local canal. It is stored in a garage away from harmful UV, frost and excessive heat from the sun,Ha Ha.(as if) It is washed after each use and generally treated with care. The hatches are watertight. There are the normal light scuff marks to the bottom, from beach landings, but the rest of the hull is really good.
Having used a couple of “Valley” single skin sea boats recently, I can vouch for the additional stiffness that the Corelight gives.
I have recently had extended knee grips fitted as I felt that it was becoming too big for my small frame. These have certainly proved to be worthwhile.
I have decided to buy a low volume kayak after our recent paddle from Banavie to Inverness. I do not require a boat that has as much camping capability as the Capella.
It has, in fact, only ever carried the “Butties and Coffee” required on a day trip.
