Capel Curig Weekend (1, and 2 Star Training and Assessments together with an easy river trip for those that want to paddle the LLugwy or for those who are more experienced, 3 star white water assessment)

We still need more coaches to help train and assess for both kayaks and opens over the weekend. If you would like to help out, gain experience or build log book hours please contact Keith.
Additionally it is the ideal opportunity for you to work on your paddling skills in both opens or kayak (you need both for the new two star) or think you are ready for the new 2 star we can offer a number of places. Cost of the course is FREE, you only pay for the campsite and certificate if you pass.

Several members are planning on coming along just the play in the grade 2 tail in front of Plas y Brenin and then paddle the Llugwy back to the campsite. BBQ planned for Saturday night.
If you cannot make the weekend then why not come out for the day or evening.

This weekend is open to all. We will be staying at Dol-Gam Campsite just below forestry falls on the River Llugwy. The weekend will be based on the lake next to Plas y Brenin (Llynnau Mymbyr) or more likely Lake Geirionydd where we will be running joint assessments for 1 and 2 star (a large number of kayaks and opens will be available for use over the weekend) with Darren Bohanna`s Cadets. We intend to run the Llugwy back down to the campsite on the Saturday. The area is ideal for non-paddling activities (Walking, mountain biking etc)
